Back Home!!!!

I finally found time to write again and I think I will have a lot of time from now on. As the tittle says I'm back home in Colombia, I have to say I feel a bit strange, on the one hand I'm very happy to be back in Bogotá, my city. I have a bit of a cultural shock going from the organized, calm and small Lund to the chaotic and huge Bogotá. Anyways I have been seeing my friends and my family so I really haven't had much time to settle in, although I did take the bus here which is always an adventure.

Here is a small recap of my trip:

I got no sleep on Wednesday 13, the day before my trip, as a good Colombian I had left everything for the last minute and didn't pack until the day before, I also tried to tidy up the apartment, and I mean tried because I didn't do a very good job. My friend Ilias was kind enough to help me then accompany me to the Copenhagen Airport, we arrived a little late and there was a HUGE line for check in, which made me almost miss the flight, this was the first time this has happened to me and it was not a nice experience, I had to run all the way to the terminal because the plane was about to take off and to make everything worse I was carrying a ton of hand luggage since airline companies expect you to carry 1.5 years of stuff in a 20 Kg luggage, which is at the least very difficult. Well, I finally made it to the plane and slept the entire flight.

In Barcelona I met a group of Colombians and we talked and waited a couple of hours until the plane left, I was planning to buy a few things for my mom and my cousins but I was just to exhausted and didn't manage (I hope they forgive me).

The plane trip was long and boring (as is usual) but I was nicely surprised by the good service of Avianca, Colombia's largest airline, which was very good. The food was ok and they showed a couple of movies. The highlight of the trip was that I was able to start reading my new book: The Children of Húrin, by J.R.R. Tolkien (The Lord of the Rings).

The greatest thing about the trip was that I came unannounced to surprise my mom and my brother. So I asked my uncle and a few good friends to pick me up at the airport. When I got home my mom was VERY surprised...
